Who are we?
We are group of volunteers from Nicaragua and the United States who started this idea back in 2010.
First, it started when we were cadets at West Point back in 2010 while in a trip to visit Nicaragua during Spring break.
We had a great time and that Christmas we wanted to get Christmas gifts for some of the kids we met when we were down there. It turned out that this small gesture meant a lot to them – for some, the school supplies we sent were the deciding factor for whether they went back to school or stayed home to work that year.
Since then, our Christmas Project has grown, and now there are about 30 kids that we stay in touch with and try to make their Christmas a little special each year.
